FUNCTIONS OF A LEADER

Guidance: A leader actively provides and represents citizens, helping them achieve their goals 

Direction: A leader gives direction to the group of people in the group and the community 

Protection: A leader seeks to protect the rights and interests of the people Representation: A leader effectively represents and speaks, represents and forwards a citizen

TYPES OF LEADERSHIP

Political leaders: These are leaders who gain people’s trust and work towards acceptable ways of governing a society
