What is a First Aid Box?

A first aid box is a special box that contains things we use to help hurt or sick people. Every home, school and office should have one.
Things We Find in a First Aid Box
- Bandages

- Used to cover cuts and wounds
- They are white strips of cloth
- Plasters

- Small sticky patches
- Put on tiny cuts on fingers
- Cotton Wool

- Soft white material
- Used to clean wounds gently
- Antiseptic

- Special liquid that kills germs
- Helps wounds heal faster
- Scissors

- Small sharp tool
- Used to cut bandages and tape
- Thermometer

- Tells us if someone has fever
- Put under the tongue or armpit
- Safety Pins

- Used to hold bandages in place
- Must be handled carefully
- Pain Relief Medicine
- Tablets for headache
- Only adults should give these
