LESSON CONTENT

What is Insecurity?

Insecurity means not being safe.

It means there are dangers around us that can hurt us.

When we feel afraid or unsafe, that is insecurity.

Sources of Danger and Insecurity:

1. Bad People

• Strangers who want to hurt children
• People who steal things
• People who fight and cause trouble

2. Dangerous Places

• Busy roads with fast cars
• Deep water like rivers and wells
• Dark places at night
• Construction sites

3. Dangerous Things

• Fire and hot things
• Sharp objects like knives
• Poisonous things
• Broken glass and nails

4. Bad Weather

• Heavy rain and flooding
• Strong wind storms
• Very hot sun

5. Animals

• Wild animals like snakes
• Angry dogs
• Dangerous insects

How to Stay Safe:

• Stay close to your parents
• Do not talk to strangers
• Avoid dangerous places
• Tell adults when you see danger
