Learning Objectives:

  • Use new words in sentences
  • Spell new words correctly

Introduction:

Learning new words helps us speak and write better. Today we will learn ten new words that will make our English richer.

New Words for Today:

  1. ADVENTURE /əd’ventʃə/
  • Meaning: An exciting and dangerous experience
  • Sentence: Tom had an adventure in the forest
  • Synonym: Journey, expedition
  1. BRILLIANT /’brɪljənt/
  • Meaning: Very bright or very clever
  • Sentence: The brilliant student answered all questions
  • Synonym: Smart, bright, excellent
  1. COMFORTABLE /’kʌmftəbl/
  • Meaning: Feeling relaxed and pleasant
  • Sentence: The chair is very comfortable
  • Synonym: Cozy, relaxing
  1. DISCOVER /dɪs’kʌvə/
  • Meaning: To find something for the first time
  • Sentence: Scientists discover new things every day
  • Synonym: Find, uncover
  1. ENORMOUS /ɪ’nɔːməs/
