When to use Comma:

In a list (separating items):

I bought rice, beans, yam, and fish.
My friends are Kemi, Tolu, and Bola.

After greeting in letters:

Dear Mother,
Dear Friend,

Before joining words like ‘and’, ‘but’:

I wanted to play, but it started raining.
She is kind, and she is also smart.

Practice adding commas:

I like apples oranges and bananas
Dear Father
The dog barked but nobody came
We need books pens pencils and erasers
