Media help us learn about what is happening around us.

Ways Media is Important for Civic Education:

1. Teaches Us About Our Country

• TV shows us about Nigeria
• Radio tells us about our leaders
• Newspapers show us important events
• We learn about our culture and traditions

2. Helps Us Learn Good Behavior

• TV programs teach children good manners
• Radio plays songs about being good citizens
• Books tell stories about honest people
• We see examples of how to behave well
