This Week’s Spelling Words:
- witness – person who sees something happen
- immediately – right away, without delay
- terrible – very bad or frightening
- investigation – finding out the truth about something
- emergency – sudden dangerous situation
- definitely – certainly, without doubt
- consequence – result of an action
- occurred – happened, took place
- apparently – it seems that, evidently
- particularly – especially, specifically

Practice these sentences for Friday’s dictation:

- Apparently, the terrible fire started from an electrical fault.
- The consequence of not following safety rules can be definitely dangerous.
Memory Tips:
- immediately – has “immediate” + “ly”
- terrible – ends in “ible” not “able”
- occurred – double “r” before “ed”
- definitely – “finite” is inside the word
