How Are We Related?

Parents and Children 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Grandparents and Grandchildren 👴👵

• Your father’s parents = Grandparents (Grandpa & Grandma)
• Your mother’s parents = Grandparents too!
• You are their grandchild

Aunts and Uncles 👨👩

• Your father’s brother = Your uncle
• Your father’s sister = Your aunt
• Your mother’s brother = Your uncle
• Your mother’s sister = Your aunt

Cousins 👦👧

• Your uncle’s children = Your cousins
• Your aunt’s children = Your cousins

Special Relationships

• Siblings: Brothers and sisters who share same parents

• We use “Elder” and “Younger” to show who was born first!
