When to Call Which Number

CALL 112 When:

  • You’re not sure which service
  • Multiple emergencies (fire + injury)
  • Any life-threatening situation
  • No other number works
  • Very urgent help needed

CALL 199 When:

  • Criminals are around
  • Someone is being robbed
  • You see kidnappers
  • Violence is happening
  • Suspicious people won’t leave

How to Make Emergency Calls

  1. Stay calm
  2. Dial the number
  3. Speak clearly
  4. Say your location first
  5. Explain the emergency
  6. Answer their questions
  7. Don’t cut the call first

What to Tell Them:

  • WHERE: Your exact location
  • WHAT: Type of emergency
  • WHO: How many people hurt/in danger
  • WHEN: Is it happening now?

Important Rules

  • Only call in real emergencies
  • Never play with emergency numbers
  • Save numbers in your phone
  • Teach younger ones
  • Know your home address
