Topic: Jesus – The True Vine
Jesus describes Himself as the true vine, his father as the vinedresser and we as the branches. Jesus is equal to the vine because it is a highly valued tree in Israel as a result of its beauty and economic value. The Thevinedresserr must nourish and plant the productive branches so that they can bear much fruit the unproductive branches as to be cut out and destroyed forever Jesus therefore asked the believers to believe in them as that which is asked for in his name shall be granted unto you
SIGNIFICANCE OF JESUS AS THE TRUE VINE.
- Jesus as the true vine shows his close relationship with his followers.
- He gives life to his followers so that they cannot survive without the main vine
- Jesus provides and cares for his followers so that they can become more fruitful.
- Those who believe in Jesus enjoy God’s blessing and overcome sin and all evil while those who do not believe in him are living sinful lives and will be cast into hell fire.
