Main Menus in Microsoft Word
File Menu:
- New – start a fresh document
- Open – find and open saved work
- Save – keep your work safe
- Print – make a paper copy
- Close – shut the document
Edit Menu:
- Undo – take back what you just did
- Cut – remove text to use elsewhere
- Copy – make a copy of text
- Paste – put copied text in new place
- Find – search for specific words
View Menu:
- Normal – regular writing view
- Print Preview – see how it will look printed
- Zoom – make text bigger or smaller
- Toolbars – show or hide button rows
Insert Menu:
- Picture – add photos to your document
- Table – make rows and columns
- Page Numbers – add numbers to pages
- Date and Time – add today’s date
Format Menu:
- Font – change how letters look
- Bold, Italic – make text thick or slanted
- Bullets – make lists with dots
- Paragraph – change spacing between lines
