Introduction:
Just like we decorate our rooms to make them look nice, we can also make our computer desktop look beautiful and personal. Today we will learn how to personalize our computer.

- Personalizing means making something special for you
- It means changing how your computer looks
- We can choose colors, pictures, and sounds we like
- It makes the computer feel more like ours

WALLPAPER (Desktop Background):

What is Wallpaper?
- Wallpaper is the picture or color on your desktop background
- It appears behind all your icons and windows
- It makes your desktop look beautiful and personal
Types of Wallpaper:
- Nature Pictures: Flowers, trees, mountains, ocean
- Animals: Cats, dogs, birds, zoo animals
- Cartoons: Favorite cartoon characters
- Solid Colors: Blue, green, red, purple
- Patterns: Stripes, dots, geometric shapes
How Wallpaper Helps:
- Makes computer screen look pretty
- Shows pictures we love
- Makes us happy when we use computer
- Does not slow down computer

SCREENSAVER:
What is a Screensaver?
- Special moving pictures that appear when computer is not used
- Starts automatically after few minutes of no activity
- Protects computer screen from damage
- Can show fun animations and pictures
Types of Screensavers:
- Moving Pictures: Flying birds, swimming fish
- Geometric Patterns: Moving shapes and colors
- Clock Display: Shows big time and date
- Photo Slideshow: Shows different pictures
- 3D Objects: Spinning cubes and balls
Why We Use Screensavers:
- Protects computer screen
- Saves electricity
- Looks entertaining
- Shows we’re not using computer

What are Computer Themes?
- Themes change how everything on computer looks
- They change colors of windows, buttons, and menus
- Some themes have matching sounds
- Everything works together to look nice
Popular Theme Types:
- Nature Themes: Green colors with plant pictures
- Ocean Themes: Blue colors with water sounds
- Space Themes: Dark colors with stars
- Bright Themes: Colorful and cheerful
- Simple Themes: Clean and easy to see

TIME AND DATE SETTINGS:
Why Time and Date are Important:
- Helps us know what time it is
- Shows us today’s date
- Helps save our work with correct time
- Important for school schedules
Where to Find Time and Date:
- Usually shown in bottom right corner of screen
- On taskbar next to other system icons
- Can be made bigger or smaller
- Can show different time formats
What We Can Change:
- Time Format: 12-hour (with AM/PM) or 24-hour
- Date Format: Different ways to show date
- Time Zone: For different countries
- Digital or Analog: Numbers or clock face
Safety Rules for Personalizing:
- Ask Permission: Always ask teacher or parent first
- Appropriate Pictures: Only use nice, clean pictures
- Don’t Slow Down: Too many effects can make computer slow
- Easy to Read: Make sure text is still easy to see
- School Rules: Follow school computer policies
Class Activity:
