Features of CPU (Central Processing Unit):

What is a CPU? CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. It is the “brain” of the computer that makes everything work.
External Features of CPU:
Ports (Connection Points):
- USB Ports: For connecting mouse, keyboard, flash drives
- Audio Ports: For connecting speakers and headphones
- Video Ports: For connecting monitor/screen
- Network Port: For internet cable connection
- Power Port: Where power cable connects
Buttons:
- Power Button: Turns computer on and off
- Reset Button: Restarts computer if it freezes
- LED Lights: Show when computer is working
Other External Features:
- Fan Vents: Let hot air out to keep computer cool
- CD/DVD Drive: For reading discs (some computers)
- Memory Card Slots: For camera cards
- Microphone Port: For recording sound
Functions of CPU Features:
USB Ports Functions:
- Connect mouse for pointing and clicking
- Connect keyboard for typing
- Connect printer for printing papers
- Connect flash drives for storing files
Power Button Functions:
- Start up the computer
- Wake up computer from sleep
- Shut down computer safely
Audio Ports Functions:
- Connect speakers to hear sounds

- Connect microphone for recording voice
Video Ports Functions:
- Connect monitor to see what computer is doing
- Connect projector for presentations
- Connect TV for bigger screen
