LESSON CONTENT
A. MEANING OF FAMILY
A family is a group of people who are related by blood, marriage, or adoption and live together or maintain close relationships. Family members love, care for, and support each other.
B. TYPES OF FAMILY
- Nuclear Family

- Made up of father, mother, and their children only
- Small family size
- Parents make decisions together
- Children receive direct attention from parents
- Extended Family

- Includes grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives
- Larger family size
- Many adults to guide children
- Shared responsibilities among family members
- Single Parent Family

- Only one parent (mother or father) with children
- Parent handles all responsibilities alone
- May receive help from relatives or friends
- Children may have more responsibilities
