Topic: Imaginative And Creative Drawing

Behavioural Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  1. Describe what imaginative drawing is.
  2. Draw from their imagination.
  3. Interpret their own and others’ created artwork.

Content:

  1. Description of Imaginative Drawing: 
  • Definition: Drawing that comes from the artist’s imagination rather than copying from real life. 
  • Features: Unique, creative, often abstract or surreal, and reflects personal thoughts or fantasies. 
  • Purpose: To express ideas, emotions, and creative thoughts visually. 
  1. Drawing from Imagination: 
  • Steps: 
  1. Think of a concept or idea you want to draw.
  2. Sketch out your idea lightly with a pencil.
  3. Add details and color to bring your imagination to life.
  4. Use various drawing tools and techniques to enhance your work.
  1. Interpreting Created Artwork: 
  • Interpretation: Understanding what the artwork represents based on its visual elements. 
  • Discussion: Encourage pupils to describe what they see in their own and others’ drawings and how it makes them feel. • Examples: Look at various artworks and discuss possible meanings or stories behind them.
