Arabic Text and Pronunciation
Verse 1: إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ Innā anzalnāhu fī laylati’l-qadr
Verse 2: وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ Wa mā adrāka mā laylatu’l-qadr
Verse 3: لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ Laylatu’l-qadri khayrun min alfi shahr
Verse 4: تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ Tanazzalu’l-malā’ikatu wa’r-rūḥu fīhā bi-idhni rabbihim min kulli amr
Verse 5: سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ Salāmun hiya ḥattā maṭla’i’l-fajr
English Translation
Verse 1: “Indeed, We sent it (the Quran) down during the Night of Decree.”
Verse 2: “And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?”
Verse 3: “The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.”
Verse 4: “The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.”
Verse 5: “Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.”
