Life in Makkah Becomes Difficult

The Problem in Makkah:
- The leaders of Makkah became very angry with Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
- They didn’t want people to hear about Islam
- They made life very hard for Muslims
- They stopped people from buying or selling to Muslims
- Some Muslims had to leave Makkah to find safety
The Prophet’s Sadness:
- Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was sad because his people rejected Islam
- His wife Khadijah (RA) had died
- His uncle Abu Talib who protected him had died
- The Prophet felt alone and needed Allah’s help
Good News from Madinah
People from Yathrib (Later Called Madinah):
- Some people from a city called Yathrib came to Makkah for Hajj
- They met Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and heard about Islam
- They liked what they heard and became Muslims
- They went back home and told others about Islam
The Secret Meetings:
- Every year, more people from Yathrib came to meet the Prophet
- They met secretly at a place called Aqabah
- They promised to protect the Prophet if he came to their city
- They invited him to come and live with them
The Two Pledges of Aqabah:
- First Pledge: Some people promised to follow Islam
- Second Pledge: More people came and promised to protect the Prophet
The Invitation to Madinah
What the People of Yathrib Promised:
- “Come to our city, O Prophet!”
- “We will protect you like we protect our own families”
- “We will listen to you and follow Islam”
- “Our city will be safe for you and all Muslims”
Why This Was Good News:
- The Prophet would be safe from the enemies in Makkah
- Muslims could practice their religion freely
- Islam could grow and spread
- Allah’s plan was working
Getting Ready to Leave
The Prophet’s Difficult Decision:
- Makkah was his home city where he was born
- He loved Makkah, but it was no longer safe
- He had to choose between staying and facing danger or leaving for safety
- He decided to trust Allah and accept the invitation
Preparing for the Journey:
- The Prophet told some Muslims to go to Madinah first
- Many Muslims left their homes and belongings
- They were sad to leave but happy to be safe
- The Prophet stayed behind to make final preparations
