Why People Eat Together
1. To Show Love and Care
- When families eat together, they show they care for each other
- Parents make sure children eat well
- It shows unity and togetherness
2. To Share and Learn
- Family members share food with each other
- Children learn table manners from parents
- Everyone learns about different foods
3. To Save Money
- Cooking together is cheaper than buying separate meals
- Families can buy food in large quantities
- Less waste when everyone eats the same meal

- Meal time is when families talk about their day
- Parents can teach children good behavior
- Family members share their experiences

- Parents can make sure children eat healthy food

Breakfast Foods:

Rules for Eating Together
- Before Eating:
- Wash your hands
- Say a prayer
- Wait for everyone to sit down
- While Eating:
- Chew with your mouth closed
- Don’t talk with food in your mouth
- Share food with others
- Don’t waste food
- After Eating:
- Say “thank you”
- Clear your plate
- Wash your hands again
How to Make Family Meals Special
- Everyone helps in preparing the food
- Set the table nicely
- Turn off TV and phones during meals
- Talk about happy things
- Be grateful for the food
