LESSON CONTENT
What is Food Safety?
Food Safety means making sure our food is clean and good to eat.
It means keeping food safe so it will not make us sick.
Why Food Safety is Important:

To Keep Us Healthy
- Safe food keeps us from getting sick
- Clean food is good for our body

To Prevent Sickness
- Dirty food can give us stomach pain
- Bad food can make us vomit
Examples of Food Safety:
Safe Food Practices:
- Washing fruits before eating
- Eating fresh food
- Drinking clean water

- Keeping food covered

- Washing hands before eating

Unsafe Food Practices:
- Eating dirty food

- Eating spoiled food

- Not washing hands
- Leaving food uncovered
- Drinking dirty water
