Registration

Registration means writing down your name to show you can vote.

What is Registration?

  • Adults (18 years and above) write their names in a book
  • They get a voter’s card with their picture
  • This card allows them to vote during elections
  • Everyone who wants to vote must register first

Why is Registration Important?

  • It proves you are old enough to vote
  • It stops people from voting more than once
  • It helps count how many people can vote
  • It makes elections fair for everyone

Campaign

Campaign is when people who want to be leaders tell others why they should vote for them.

What Happens During Campaigns?

  • Candidates visit towns and villages
  • They make promises to help people
  • They put up posters with their pictures
  • They hold meetings to talk to voters

What Do Candidates Promise?

  • Build more schools and hospitals
  • Create jobs for unemployed people
