Learning Objectives:

- Discuss why they study civic education at school
Lesson Content:
What is Civic Education? Civic education is a subject that teaches us how to be good members of our family, school, and community. It shows us the right way to behave.
Reasons for Studying Civic Education:

- To Learn Good Behavior:
- How to greet people politely
- How to share with others
- How to say “please,” “thank you,” and “sorry”
- To Know Our Rights:
- Right to go to school
- Right to be treated fairly
- Right to be safe and protected
- To Know Our Duties:
- Duty to obey our parents and teachers
- Duty to keep our environment clean
- Duty to respect others
- To Become Responsible:
- Taking care of our things
- Helping with house chores
- Being honest always
- To Live Peacefully:
- Not fighting or quarreling
- Sharing and caring for others
- Solving problems by talking
Why We Study Civic Education at School:
- Our teachers want us to be good children
- It helps us work well with our classmates
- It prepares us to be good citizens when we grow up
- It teaches us values our parents want us to have
Class Activity:
Role-play different scenarios showing good and bad behavior. Let pupils identify which is which and explain why.
