Benefits of Being a National

A national is someone who belongs to a country. When you are a Nigerian national, you get many good things:

  1. Protection
  • The government protects you from danger
  • You can ask for help when in trouble
  • You are safe in Nigeria
  1. Education
  • You can go to school in Nigeria
  • Government builds schools for you
  • You can learn and become successful
  1. Healthcare
  • You can go to government hospitals
  • Get treatment when you are sick
  • Government helps take care of your health
  1. Identity

  • You have a Nigerian passport
  • People know you belong to Nigeria
  • You can travel to other countries

Right to Vote

Voting means choosing who will lead us. When people grow up (18 years and above), they can:

  • Choose their President
  • Pick their governors
  • Select people to make laws
  • Have a say in how the country is run

Access to Government

This means you can:

  • Visit government offices for help
  • Ask questions about government work
  • Get important documents like birth certificates
  • Report problems to government officials
