Ndebeiwu (Punctuation Marks)

Basic Punctuation Marks

Akara Nkwụsị (Full Stop) – .

  • Ọrụ ya: Na-egosi na ahịrịokwu kwụsịrị
  • Ihe atụ: Ọ gara ụlọakwụkwọ.
  • Usage: Shows that a sentence has ended

Akara Ajụjụ (Question Mark) – ?

  • Ọrụ ya: Na-egosi ajụjụ
  • Ihe atụ: Kedu ka ị mere?
  • Usage: Shows that a question is being asked

Akara Mkpu (Exclamation Mark) – !

  • Ọrụ ya: Na-egosi mkpu ma ọ bụ mwute
  • Ihe atụ: Chukwu ekwela! Ewoo!
  • Usage: Shows strong feelings or exclamation

Akara Nkewa (Comma) – ,

  • Ọrụ ya: Na-ekewa okwu n’ahịrịokwu
  • Ihe atụ: Ada, Emeka na Ngozi gara ahịa.
  • Usage: Separates words or parts of a sentence

How to Use Ndebeiwu

In Statements (N’okwu nkwupụta)

  • Emeka na-agụ akwụkwọ.
  • Nne m na-esi nri.
  • Anyị na-aga ụlọakwụkwọ.

In Questions (N’ajụjụ)

  • Kedu aha gị?
  • Gịnị ka ị na-eme?
  • Olee mgbe ị ga-abịa?

In Exclamations (N’okwu mkpu)

  • Ewoo! Ọ mara mma!
  • Chukwu ekwela!
  • Chineke mee! Ọ dị egwu!

With Lists (N’ịkọwa ihe)

  • M zụtara akwụkwọ, pensụl, na eraser.
  • Ada, Ngozi, na Kemi bụ ezigbo enyi.
