Governors of Lagos State Since Creation (1967)
Military Administrators (1967-1999) When Lagos State was created, Nigeria was under military rule, so the state was led by military officers called “Military Administrators.”
- Colonel Mobolaji Johnson (1967-1975)

- First leader of Lagos State
- Helped set up the new state government
- Built many roads and schools
- Was in charge for 8 years
- Brigadier Ademulegun (1975-1977)

- Continued developing Lagos State
- Worked on improving infrastructure
- Was in charge for 2 years
 Group Captain Emeka Omeruah (1977-1978)
- Continued the work of developing Lagos
- Was in charge for 1 year
- Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe (1984-1986)

- Improved internally generated revenue
