Learning Objectives:

By the end of this lesson, pupils should be able to:

  • Explain who a leader is
  • Highlight at least 10 qualities of community leaders
  • Identify importance of good qualities of community leaders

Lesson Content:

Who is a Leader? A leader is a person who guides, directs, and shows the way for other people to follow. A leader is someone people look up to and follow.

10 Qualities of Community Leaders:

  1. Honesty – Always tells the truth
  2. Kindness – Treats people with love and care
  3. Fairness – Treats everyone equally
  4. Courage – Is brave when making difficult decisions
  5. Wisdom – Makes good and smart choices
  6. Patience – Does not get angry quickly
  7. Good listener – Listens to people’s problems
  8. Helpful – Always ready to help others
  9. Respectful – Shows respect to everyone
  10. Trustworthy – People can depend on them

Importance of Good Qualities of Community Leaders:

  1. People will trust and follow them
  2. The community will be peaceful
  3. Problems will be solved fairly
  4. Everyone will be treated equally
  5. The community will develop and grow
  6. People will be happy and satisfied
  7. Good examples will be set for children
