A Call About School Project

RING! RING!

MRS. ADEBAYO: “Hello, Adebayo residence. Good evening.”

KEMI: “Good evening, ma. This is Kemi from Primary 6B. May I please speak with Funmi?”

MRS. ADEBAYO: “Oh, hello Kemi! How are you, dear? Hold on, let me call Funmi for you.”

MRS. ADEBAYO: (calling) “Funmi! Kemi is on the phone for you!”

FUNMI: (taking the phone) “Hi Kemi! How are you doing?”

KEMI: “I’m fine, thank you. Listen, I’m calling about our Science project. Remember we’re supposed to present tomorrow?”

FUNMI: “Oh yes! I’ve been working on the charts about the solar system. Have you finished your part about the planets?”

KEMI: “Yes, I have! I’ve written about Mercury, Venus, and Mars. But I’m worried about the time. Do you think fifteen minutes will be enough?”

FUNMI: “Hmm, I think so. But we should practice together. Can you come to my house this evening?”

KEMI: “That’s a great idea! But I need to ask my parents first. What time would be good?”

FUNMI: “How about 7 o’clock? We can finish by 8:30, so you won’t be too late.”

KEMI: “Perfect! Let me ask my mother and call you back in five minutes.”

FUNMI: “Okay, I’ll be waiting. If she says yes, just come straight over. You know where I live, right?”

KEMI: “Yes, I do. Talk to you soon!”

FUNMI: “Alright, bye!”

KEMI: “Bye-bye!”
