Listening Story: “The Busy Market”

“Every Saturday, Mama takes me to the market. We buy fresh vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and onions. The market is very busy with many people shopping. I help Mama carry the light bags. We always buy my favorite fruit – mangoes – before going home.”
Listening Skills
- Sit quietly and focus
- Look at the speaker
- Listen for important information

- Ask questions if unclear
Types of Questions
Literal: What day do they go to market? Inferential: Why does the child only carry light bags? Personal: What is your favorite fruit?
Following Commands
