What is Drama?

Drama is the art of acting out stories using voices, body movements, and expressions to entertain or teach people.

Simple Definition

Drama is pretending to be someone else to tell a story on stage or in front of people.

Key Parts of Drama

Pretending to be a character

  • Using your voice differently
  • Moving your body like the character
  • Showing emotions on your face

What happens in the drama

  • Has a beginning, middle, and end
  • Characters face problems

Types of Drama

Serious dramas with sad endings

  • Characters face big problems
  • Not always happy endings

Dramas that teach lessons

  • Show good and bad behavior
  • Help people learn important things
