Introduction:
Good morning children! Clean nails and hair help us look neat and stay healthy. Let us learn how to take good care of them.
Lesson Content:
CARE OF THE NAILS:

Why We Keep Nails Clean:
- Dirty nails have germs that can make us sick
- Long nails can scratch and hurt others
- Clean nails look nice and neat
- Short nails are easier to keep clean
How to Care for Nails:
- Wash Daily: Wash hands and scrub under nails with soap
- Cut Regularly: Ask adults to cut nails when they get long
- Keep Short: Nails should not be longer than fingertips
- No Biting: Do not bite or chew nails
- Use Brush: Use soft brush to clean under nails
- Dry Well: Dry hands and nails completely after washing
Nail Care Rules:
- Cut nails straight across, not round
- File rough edges gently
- Do not cut too short (it can hurt)
- Keep nail tools clean
- Tell parents if nails hurt or look strange

Why We Keep Hair Clean:
- Clean hair looks shiny and beautiful
- Washing removes dirt and oil
- Clean hair smells fresh
- Healthy hair grows better
How to Care for Hair:
- Wash Regularly: Wash hair 2-3 times per week
- Use Shampoo: Use gentle shampoo made for children
- Rinse Well: Make sure all soap is washed out
- Comb Gently: Use wide-tooth comb when hair is wet
- Dry Carefully: Pat hair dry with clean towel
- Brush Daily: Brush hair every morning and evening
Hair Care Steps:
- Wet Hair: Use warm (not hot) water
- Apply Shampoo: Use small amount of shampoo
- Massage Gently: Rub scalp softly with fingertips
- Rinse Thoroughly: Wash out all soap
- Towel Dry: Pat hair, do not rub hard
- Comb Carefully: Start from ends, work up to roots
