Reading Passage: “The Kind Baker”

Mr. Johnson was a kind baker who lived in a small village. Every morning, he would wake up very early to bake fresh bread, cakes, and cookies for the people in his village. His bakery always smelled wonderful, and children loved to walk past it on their way to school.
One day, a poor family came to his shop. They had no money to buy bread, but their children were very hungry. Mr. Johnson saw how sad they looked. Without saying a word, he packed a big bag with fresh bread, some cakes, and cookies. He gave it to the family and said, “Please take this food for your children.”
The family was so grateful that they started to cry tears of joy. Word spread quickly around the village about Mr. Johnson’s kindness. From that day on, many people came to buy from his bakery because they wanted to support such a generous man.
