Teacher’s Activities:

1. Introduction (5 minutes): Greet the students and review the importance of spelling accuracy; introduce the ten words for the week’s spelling and dictation exercise by identifying each word; Testing: Energetic, Famous, Fragrant, Generous, Dessert, Jovial – Display the words on the board or projector 
2. Pronunciation and Definition (15 minutes): Go through each of the spelling words, providing the correct pronunciation and meaning of each word and asking students to repeat. Provide sample usage and situations. Highlight vocabulary through correct pronunciation while ensuring all students are engaged 
3. Dictation Activity (15 minutes): Announce the first word. Identify, clearly and distinctly. Read the word aloud and give students time to write it in their exercise books. Ask students to use the word in their notebooks. A regular test process for each word, providing sentences for context 
4. Peer Review and Self-Assessment (10 minutes): Allow students to swap their exercise books and mark each other’s work or peer self-assessment or marking their own work. Guide students to correct any misspelled words in their own notebooks. Encourage students to reflect on their own strengths and weak areas for improvement
