Sample Picture Categories

People: children, adults, babies, workers Animals: pets, farm animals, wild animals Objects: toys, furniture, vehicles, food Places: home, school, park, hospital

Describing Pictures

Use these sentence starters:

• “I can see…”
• “In this picture…”
• “The people are…”
• “This looks like…”

Picture Information

Look for:

• Who is in the picture?
• What are they doing?
• Where are they?
• What objects are present?
• What emotions do you see?
