Reading Passage: “The Lost Puppy”

“Sarah was walking home from school when she heard a soft crying sound. She looked around and found a small brown puppy hiding under a bush. The puppy looked scared and hungry. Sarah gave it some water from her bottle and a biscuit from her bag. She took the puppy home and asked her mother if they could keep it. Her mother agreed, and they named the puppy Lucky.”
