This revision lesson helps us remember the important skills of listening carefully to stories and retelling them. Good listeners become good storytellers.

Revision Story: “The Helpful Friends”

Listen carefully as I tell you this story:

“There were three friends named Ada, Bola, and Chidi. They all went to the same school and lived in the same neighborhood. One rainy day, Ada slipped and fell in a big puddle on her way to school. Her books got wet and her uniform was muddy.

Bola saw what happened and quickly helped Ada stand up. Chidi ran to get paper towels from a nearby shop. Together, they helped Ada clean up. Bola shared her extra pencil when Ada’s got wet, and Chidi shared his notebook so Ada could copy the notes she missed.

When they got to school, their teacher noticed how kind they had been to each other. She praised them for being helpful friends. Ada felt so grateful that she promised to always help her friends when they needed it too.

From that day on, the three friends always looked out for each other. When one friend had a problem, the other two were always ready to help.”
