Lesson Content:

What is a Riot?

 A riot is when a group of angry people fight, destroy things, and cause trouble in public places. They break things and hurt people.

What Happens During a Riot:

  • People shout angrily
  • They break windows and doors
  • They fight with each other
  • Police come to stop them
  • People get injured
  • Properties are destroyed

Causes of Riot:

  1. Disagreements: When people cannot agree on something
  2. Unfair treatment: When some people are treated badly
  3. Anger: When people are very upset about something
  4. Politics: During elections or government issues
  5. Religious differences: When people of different religions fight
  6. Rumors: False stories that make people angry
  7. Poverty: When people don’t have enough money or food

Effects of Riot:

  • People get hurt or die
  • Buildings and cars are destroyed
  • Schools and shops close
  • Fear in the community
  • Loss of money and property
  • Children cannot go to school

How to Curb Riot in School:

Prevention:

  1. Teach peace: Learn to live peacefully with others
  2. Solve problems by talking: Don’t fight, discuss issues
  3. Report bullying: Tell teachers when someone is being mean
  4. Be fair to everyone: Treat all students equally
  5. Avoid gossip: Don’t spread false stories

During a Riot:
