A composition on the topic – Myself written by Emily, a grade 5 pupil of Edu Delight International school, Lagos.
My name is Emily and I am 10 years old. I have a small family, just my mom, dad, and younger brother. My mom is a doctor and my dad is a teacher. I have a lot of friends at school and we like to play sports and have sleepovers on the weekends.
I have a few hobbies that I really enjoy. I love to read, especially books about magic and adventure. I also like to dance and I take ballet twice every week. My other interests include art and music. I play the piano and I like to draw and paint in my free time.
In school, my favorite subjects are Science and English. I love learning about how the world works and I enjoy reading and writing stories. My goals for the future include becoming a scientist or a writer. I think it would be amazing to discover new things or create stories that people love to read.
I do have some challenges too, like being shy in new situations and getting frustrated when I don’t understand something right away. But I am working on these things and I am getting better at overcoming them.
Overall, I would say that I am a friendly and creative person. I am proud of my accomplishments so far, like getting an award for my science project last year and performing a solo dance in the school talent show. I am excited to see what the future holds for me and to continue learning and growing as a person.
