History of Computer:

What is Computer History? Computer history tells us how computers were invented and who made them.

Early Computers: Long ago, people used simple tools to count and calculate before modern computers were invented.

Famous Computer Inventors:

• Charles Babbage: Called “Father of Computer” – made early calculating machine
• Ada Lovelace: First computer programmer (a lady!)
• Alan Turing: Helped develop modern computers

Origin of the Computer:

• Computers started as simple counting tools
• People wanted machines to help with difficult calculations
• Smart inventors worked hard to create better machines
• Today’s computers are much smaller and faster

How Computers Changed:

• Old computers: Very big, filled whole rooms
• Modern computers: Small, fit on desks and in our pockets
• Future computers: Will be even smarter and smaller
