Learning Objectives

- Explain craft making
- Identify some materials used in craft making (wood, paper, gum etc.) in/outside the classroom
- Make simple craft work (paper fan, paper flower, papier mache etc.)
Introduction
Welcome back! Last term, we learned about crafts. Today, we will practice what we know about craft making and learn to make some simple crafts.
Content
What is Craft Making? Craft making is:
- Using our hands to create beautiful objects
- Combining different materials to make useful things
- A skill that helps us be creative
- Making things that are both beautiful and useful
Materials Used in Craft Making:
- Paper – newspapers, colored paper, cardboard

Wood – sticks, blocks, shavings

Gum/Glue – to join materials together

Thread – for sewing and tying

Colors – paints, crayons, markers

Scissors – for cutting

Natural materials – leaves, seeds, flowers

Simple Craft Works We Can Make:
- Paper Fan – folded paper for cooling air

Paper Flower – colorful flowers from paper

Papier Mache – objects made from paper and glue paste

Paper Box – for storing small items

Greeting Cards – for special occasions

Steps in Craft Making:
- Plan what to make
- Gather materials needed
- Follow instructions carefully
- Be creative and patient
- Clean up after work
