Introduction
Today is our final lesson about forms of prayer. We will review everything we’ve learned and practice using different forms of prayer together.
Lesson Content
Review of All Forms of Prayer
- Verbal/Speaking Prayer
- Talking to God with our voice
- Can be loud or soft
- Good for thanking God publicly
- Silent/Meditation Prayer
- Praying in our hearts
- Good when we’re alone or in quiet places
- Good for listening to God
- Adoration Prayer
- Loving and praising God
- Telling God how wonderful He is
- Can be verbal or silent
- Physical Prayer
- Using our bodies to pray
- Kneeling, raising hands, bowing heads
- Shows respect to God
When to Use Different Forms
- At home: Any form we feel comfortable with
- In church: Usually verbal and physical
- When scared: Might pray silently
- When happy: Might sing and raise hands
- When sorry: Might kneel and speak softly
Combining Forms of Prayer We can use different forms together:
- Kneel down (physical) and speak (verbal)
- Raise hands (physical) and praise God (adoration)
- Be quiet (meditation) and think loving thoughts (adoration)
Remember: God loves all forms of prayer when they come from our heart!

Create a simple prayer using different forms – start kneeling, speak some words, have a quiet moment, end with hands raised.
