Synonyms – words that mean the SAME thing:

• big = large
• happy = glad
• small = little

Antonyms – words that mean the OPPOSITE:

• big ↔ small
• hot ↔ cold
• up ↔ down

Homonyms – words that SOUND the same but mean different things:

• buy (get with money) / bye (goodbye)
• see (with eyes) / sea (water)
