Review: Who are the Nigerian Police? The Nigerian Police are security officers who wear blue uniforms and help keep us safe every day. They are our friends who protect us from bad people.
Main Duties of the Nigerian Police:
- Crime Prevention:
- Stop bad things from happening before they occur
- Walk around neighborhoods to watch for trouble
- Visit schools and communities to teach safety
- Put up checkpoints to catch criminals
- Arresting Criminals:
- Catch thieves who steal things
- Arrest people who hurt others
- Take bad people to court
- Put handcuffs on dangerous criminals
- Traffic Control:
- Help people cross busy roads safely
- Direct traffic when roads are crowded
- Stop drivers who break traffic rules
- Make sure cars follow the right lanes
- Investigation:
- Find out who did bad things
