Learning Objectives

Introduction
When we put two letters together, we can make small words. These are the shortest words in English.
Content Development
Common Two-Letter Words:

Words with ‘a’:
- am (I am happy)
- an (an apple)
- as (as big as)
- at (at school)
Words with ‘e’:
- be (be good)
- he (he runs)
- me (give me)
- we (we play)
Words with ‘i’:
- in (in the box)
- is (it is red)
- if (if you can)
- it (it is mine)
Words with ‘o’:
- of (piece of cake)
- on (on the table)
- or (red or blue)
- to (go to school)
Words with ‘u’:
- up (look up)
- us (help us)
Other Two-Letter Words:

- no (no running)

- a + m = am
