Transliteration
Bismil-Lahir-Rahmanir-Rahim
- Idha ja a nasrul-lahi wal-fath
- Wara aytan-nas yadhuluna fidhi ni-Lahi afwajan
- Fasabbih bihamdi Rabbika wastasghifirhu innahu kana tawwaban
Translation
In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful
- When Allah’s help and victory come.
- And you see people entering Allah’s Religion (Islam) in crowds.
- So glorify the praises of your Lord, and seek His forgiveness. Certainly, He is ever ready to forgive.
Lessons
- It is a Madinah Surah.
- It Surah teaches us that whenever we receive any favour or grant from Allah, we should:
- Praise him
- Thank him
- Seek forgiveness for the shortcomings we might have committed during the course of looking for such a thing
- The Surah teaches us to exercise endurance whenever we are finding things difficult for Allah to help us.
- It teaches that truth will prevail over falsehood. It is only a matter of time.
- Help and victory comes from Allah.

Transliteration
Bismil-Lahir-Rahmanir-Rahim
- Tabbat yada abi lahab in whatsapp
- Ma aghna anhu maluhu wama kasab
- Sayasla naran dhata lahabin
- Wamra atuhu hammalatal hatab
- Fi ji diha hablun min masad
Translation
In the name of Allah the most Beneficent, the most Merciful
- Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (the father of flame) and perish him.
- Neither his wealth nor what he has gained shall be of benefit to him.
- He will be burnt in a fire of blazing flame.
- And his wife too, who carried wood (thorns which she used to put on the way of the prophet or used to slander him).
- In her neck is a twisted rope of palm fibre.
Lessons
- This is a Makkan Surah
- It has two names Al-Lahab and Al-Masad taken from the first and the last verses of the Surah respectively.
- The Surah teaches us not to abuse or curse anyone.
- The Surah teaches the enemies of Islam that they will be disgraced in this world and enter hell in the hereafter.
- Allah has promised to protect the religion of Islam despite the odds.

Bismil-Lahir-Rahmanir-Rahim
- Qul huwwal lahu ahad
- Allah sammad
- Lam yalid walam yulad
- Walam yakum lahu kufuwan ahad
Translation
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful
- Say: He is Allah, the One.
- Allah, the eternal, absolute.
- He begets not, nor is he begotten.
- And there is none like unto him.
Lessons
- The Surah teaches monotheism and forbids polytheism.
- It teaches the attributes of Allah
- Ahad (the one)
- As-Samad (the eternal)
- The Surah states that everybody depends on Allah but He does not depend on anybody or anything.
- It teaches the uniqueness of Allah.
- Muslims must proclaim the oneness and uniqueness of Allah and propagate both.

Transliteration
Bismil-Lahir-Rahmanir-Rahim
- Qul a udhu birabbil falaq
- Min sharri ma khalaq
- Wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab
- Wamin sharrin naffathati fil uqad
- Wamin sharrin hasidin idha hasad
Translation
In the name of Allah the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
- Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn.
- Against the evil of what He created.
- And against the evil of the darkness when it occurs.
- And against the evil of witchcraft when they blow in the knots.
- And against the evil of the envious one when he practises envy.
Lesson
- It is a Makkan Surah.
- The Surah teaches that one is bound to face obstacles in one’s career. Therefore, one should prepare one’s mind for them and pray for Allah’s protection against all odds.
- It teaches that God can subdue all His creation.
- It teaches that in doing justice, and upholding truth everyone interested etc. will face some problems.
- Muslims should rely totally on Allah.

- Qul a udhu biRabbin-nas
- Malikin-nas
- Ilahin-nas
- Min sharril waswasil khannas
- Alladhi yuswaswisu fi sudurin-nas
- Minal jinnati wan-nas
Translation
In the name of Allah the most Beneficent, the most Merciful
- Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind.
- The king of mankind.
- The God of mankind.
- From the mischief of the whisperer (of evil), who withdraws (after his whisper).
- (The same) who whispers into the hearts of mankind.
- Among Jinns and men.
Lessons
- It is a Makkan Surah.
- The Surah contains three attributes of Allah which man can use to drive away the evil:
- Ar-Rabbu (the Lord) teaches that we should have confidence in Allah as our protector.
- Al-Malik (the King) teaches us that Allah controls everybody and everything.
- Ilahu (God) teaches us that he alone should be worshipped.
- The Surah teaches us not to listen to ill advice
- The Surah informs us of the sources of evil. They are man and jinn.
- The Surah teaches us to seek Allah’s refuge against evil thoughts and deeds.
