 STRUCTURE: PRESENT PERFECT AND PAST PERFECT TENSE

Present Perfect Tense (have/has + past participle):

  • I have done my homework every day this week.
  • She has brushed her teeth since morning.
  • We have eaten breakfast already.

Past Perfect Tense (had + past participle):

  • I had finished my homework before dinner time.
  • She had brushed her teeth before going to bed.
  • We had eaten breakfast before going to school.

Daily routine examples:

  • Present Perfect: I have woken up early every day this month.
  • Past Perfect: I had woken up before my alarm rang.

Complete these sentences:

  2. She _______ already eaten before I arrived. (has/had)
  3. We _______ played together since we were small. (have/had)
