Vocabulary Development: Words Associated With Islamic Religion SS1 English Studies Lesson Note

The word Islam means peace and submission to the will of Allah. A follower of Islam is a Muslim. That one submits to the will of Allah. 

The five pillars of the Islamic religion is the oneness of God), which means shahadah Others are: salat (five daily prayers), Zakat (arms-giving), sawn (fasting), Haji (pilgrimage 

to the holy land mecca.)
