Consequence of Drug Trafficking
- Life imprisonment: Those caught and convicted will have a life jail term
- Dents the nation’s image whose citizens are known for drug trafficking are always avoided today many Nigerians face a lot of embarrassment while they travel abroad because drug barons have dented their image
- Increase crime rate: Most of those who take hard drugs always engage in crimes like armed robbery, organism, violence, lusting, and many others
- Brings shame to the family: Those caught in drug trafficking always bring disgrace and shame to their families people in the community will avoid them
- Untimely death: People who carry hard drugs by swallowing and then die suddenly
PREVENTION OF DRUG TRAFFICKING

- Educating: Children in primary and secondary schools should be exposed to basic facts about drug trafficking. This removes ignorance and the tendency to be hired into the act by drug barons
- Provision of more jobs: The government should initiate a policy that will head to job creation
- Property alleviation program: the government should rigorously pursue it. If the poverty alleviation program is more skill acquisition centers should be established in all to call government in Nigeria so that more youth can learn skills that can earn them income legally
- Support for law enforcement against the government should give more support to NDLEA police and other agencies fighting drug trafficking in Nigeria. M
