CAUSES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING
- Abject poverty
- Lack of public awareness
- Lack of access to education
- Domestic violence and violence
- Political instability
- Lack of employment opportunities
- Lack of social amenities
SOLUTIONS TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING
- Education and public enlightenment:- Human trafficking can be prevented by educating the citizens on the dangers and evils of human trafficking
- Poverty alleviation:- These programs should be geared towards reducing the desperation that derives some people into illegal act
- TIGHT SECURITY:- Security at the borders should be tightened to check the activities of human traffickers.
- LEGISLATION: The government should make tougher laws against human trafficking and agencies
- INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION:- There is a need for more cooperation among countries to wage war against human trafficking
- ESTABLISHMENT OF REHABILITATION CENTRES:- This will aid their recovery from physical and psychological effects
