What is Criminal Behavior?

Criminal behavior means actions that are against the law and can hurt people or damage property. These are bad things that people should not do because they are illegal and harmful.

Examples of Criminal Behavior

Stealing (Theft)

  • Taking things that belong to other people
  • Picking pockets or bags
  • Breaking into houses or shops to steal
  • Taking money without permission

Violence Against People

  • Hitting, punching, or hurting others
  • Fighting and causing injuries
  • Threatening to harm someone
  • Bullying and intimidating people

Damaging Property (Vandalism)

  • Breaking windows, doors, or furniture
  • Writing on walls of buildings
  • Destroying public property like streetlights
  • Cutting down trees or destroying gardens

Drug-Related Crimes

  • Selling or using illegal drugs
  • Smoking in non-smoking areas
  • Drinking alcohol if you’re underage
  • Carrying dangerous substances

How to Identify Criminal Behavior

  • Look for property being damaged
  • Pay attention to unusual activities

Trust Your Feelings

  • If something feels wrong, it probably is
  • Listen to your instincts about dangerous situations
  • Don’t ignore feelings of fear or worry
  • Take your concerns seriously

  • Think about whether an action is legal
  • Consider if what you’re seeing could hurt someone

What to Do When You See Criminal Behavior
